Installation of natural stone flooring requires a good sealant prior to grouting. The right grout will prevent dirt from staining, scratching, or detracting from the integrity and beauty of the stone. A good sealant is VERY important when installing stone because stone flooring is extremely porous. At S&S Flooring we follow strict protocols to preserve and protect your investment in flooring.
We do not use finishes of any kind on natural stone, as it tends to damage the stone, or collect debris and dull the surface over time. This can make the restoration process more difficult, as we use chemical free, mechanical stripping methods. Chemical strippers can permanently damage the floors. Walls, countertops, and floors are all restorable using mechanical methods combined with the right sealant.

Travertine and Marble are common stone flooring applications which often need some TLC. These are the most misused floor coverings on the market. Beautiful and luxurious shiny tiles don't take long to become dull, etched, pitted and scratched if they are not cared for.
